Autumn Rose
Everywhere you go there's a billowing cloud of orange and yellow leaves.
On the floor. In the sky. On the trees.
It's like fire and earth.
It smells of bonfires and decay.
I wish i was born in autumn. It's the one part of year i'd repeat over and over again.
It's the perfect temperature. Cold but not too chilly.
It gets darker earlier and everything seems brighter in the day.
It's my happiest time of year.
I wish i could freeze moments of time.
Autumnal moments.
There's a point, on my drive to St Albans, where there's nothing but trees and leaves and the road is barely there.
It's like being lost in a haze of beauty.
I'd want to stay in that moment and never arrive at my destination.
I'd want to stay that peaceful forever.
