So...me and Jamie raped Hertfordshire's central resources library of any and all relevant books on Stalin & Russia and Marxism, Feminism, Functionalism & Max Weber.

I would feel bad for it....'cept this is what we've had to resort to in order to make sure we have at least some books to reference in our assignments.

I now have three piles sitting happily on the dining room table. More than enough to do decent essays - providing i use this brain of mine.

I even convinced the librarians to let me have 16 books out at once instead of 12.

Jamie couldn't believe it. He thinks Shay's gunna go bonkers when she finds out.

It's all about being nice to people.

He agreed though. All i gotta do is smile and say please alot and i sound like i'm being all cute and sweet...who can resist that?

It's not my fault if people want to judge on appearances, now is it.

After he dropped me home i went into town and did some photocopying for Sociology and the rest of my christmas shopping.

For my records...and because i'm seriously forgetting what i've bought and ordered for people, today produced:

Lewis - Paperchase black and grey skull A4 class organiser & notebook, a big plastic jar that i filled with sweets (it took so many bags to fill it - maybe next time you should just buy a prearranged one or something Rachael...you nut job) & a pack of western silly bandz.

Adam - Milky bar selection pack, Dr Who lockable tin with marshmallows and cookie key cover set.

Tivi - Kiss kiss rubber stamp and ink pad.

Shay - Silly bandz rock and roll.

Grams - Teddy bear book sweetie tin, paperchase stamps design listing notebook and paperchase triangles card wallet.

Justin - Paperchase shooting star shoe laces & milky bar selection pack.

Daniel - Milky bar selection pack.

Lorna - Paperchase silver ornate flower keyring.

Anika - Paperchase butterfly notebook.

Mum - Bodyshop spiced vanilla handcream and bodyshop red sparkly nail file. Oh and her Brown moc croc handbag from Clarks is on order.

Mandy - Bodyshop cranberry joy soap and bodyshop white sparkly nail file.

Nicky - Paperchase pink and purple cupcake key caps.

Graca - Paperchase ornate butterfly magnet set.

I couldn't resist buying a pack of western silly bandz for myself - they totally rock...oh and some oragami post it notes (i can totally make things in class instead of doodling when i'm thinking), a tubtanic novelty bath plug (we so need one if i want to have bubble baths...and it's got a titanic ship that sinks attached to it - how funky is that?), body art paint sticks (because you never know when you might need those), a cream and purple polka dot ceramic dish (i can make sweet little pies!), more tupaware boxes and mixing bowls for all the bleedin' cookies and stuff, a brandied pear scented jar candle (it smells so frickin' yummy..and they had a snickerdoodle scented one too!), apple scented tealights, a paperchase passport and stamp decorated mini folder, a paperchase shooting star card wallet and fuzzy peach showergel from Bodyshop (i totally remembered i get a free gift in my birthday month for being a member!).

So....maybe i should curb the spending right about now.

Jeesh. I'm a bit of a shopaholic sometimes.

Well, i'm off to read more of Atlas Shrugged and waste away the rest of my evening...whilst trying not to buy more gifts.
